One thing I love about living in Massachusetts is that a lot of things happen here. Last night Scott Brown won the senate seat left vacant by Edward Kennedy's death. There is a lot of ironies in this special election. The democrats in MA pushed to change the law to have such a special election. At that time, they wanted to prevent the GOP governor Romney from appointing a senator in case Kerry became the president. Who would have guessed that the first special election actually was for the seat held by Kennedy, and that the democratic candidate would lose? The health care bill was what the late Kennedy pursued, and now his successor is expected to put a brake on this bill, and people voted for this very reason.

My take-aways from this:
1. Live longer;
2. Complacency is one's worst enemy;
3. What seemed to be a brilliant thing to do today may seem very stupid on another day.
