Friday, 8/5: Six Flags. We arrived there around 1 pm, after having lunch on the way. First went to Hurricane Harbor. Played in tidal pool. Our daughter is still a little afraid of water slides, even the shotest ones. Then went on some kids rides. She was sleepy so we drove out. She napped in the car, and when she woke up we had dinner. Then went back to the park, had more rides. She enjoyed the roller coaster (for kids, of course) the most.

Saturday, 8/6: Yankee Candle flagship store. We dipped candles, and made a puzzle shot. We then went to Magic wings, the butterfly garden. There were reptiles, birds, and some other animals too. we then drove to Amherst, and I took a tour at the Emily Dickinson Museum, while my husband and daughter visited Amherst College. They even picked some mushrooms on the meadows around the campus!

Sunday 8/7: Tanglewood. Smetana, Mozart, but we left after the intermission. We arrived pretty early, and we took her to Watch & Play. 再次忍不住感叹,美国总是处处为孩子们着想,或者更确切地说,为孩子家长着想。We took her to kids corner before the concert started, which turned out to be a bad idea. The kids corner is set up to keep the children quiet, but for our little one, it didn't work out that way. She was tired and when she is tired, she is more of a perfectionist. We first made a musical mask, then she started drawing. When she couldn't draw the way she wanted, she started crying. I tried to calm her down. She managed to stay to the end of Mozart piano concerto no. 22 (K. 482).

Since coming back, I've been preparing for her birthday party. She also started summer camp this week, and I'm learning to the art of preparing lunch for a preschooler. She ate nothing that I prepared for lunch, only had the cantaloup. I hope she will eat more at the camp.
